I really enjoyed this episode on antennas. I was amused when Alun mentioned that
plot sizes in the US were about 5 acres. I live in Texas (where everything is
bigger, HI HI) but lot size is not the main problem. Restricted neighborhoods
are the main problem. Many communities have restrictions that prohibit the
installation of towers and masts. In my neighborhood, no antenna of any kind can
be installed where it can be seen from the street. That limits me to either
antennas in the attic or possibly a vertical hidden in the one tall tree that I
have. I am also considering a Flag Pole vertical since there are no restrictions
to having a flag pole in the front yard. I found this fellow ham, from your side
of the pond, to have some good ideas on stealth antennas

As a side topic, I would like to request
an episode that goes into more detail on antenna types discussing receiving
verses transmi...
